Unique Assets Manager

The candidate will direct oversight of closely-held business, tangible assets and loans/notes administration. Manage colleagues responsible for real estate and irrevocable life insurance trust administration. Serve as unique asset subject matter expert and advisor to the front office and other areas, including asset administration, new business development and advising existing clients and accounts. Own policies, procedures, controls, management reporting and testing of unique assets. Ensure full and timely completion of initial due diligence, annual reviews, periodic valuations and action plans. Maintain ‘watch list’ and identify and resolve assets requiring workout, including interacting with management and internal and external legal counsel. Other duties as assigned. Should have a Juris Doctorate (JD) and 8-12 years of experience managing or advising on specialty assets in banking, other financial services companies or law firm. Active law license. Experience directing and managing employees. Ability to independently identify and resolve issues, including decisions, from start to finish. Ability to lead and coordinate activities in a matrix reporting structure. Self-starter, initiative, able to work with minimal supervision, detail-oriented.
