Litigation Attorney Remote/Hybrid Orlando FL

Liebler, Gonzalez & Portuondo’s Orlando office is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our insurance practice group. The Ideal candidate will have 2-5 years’ experience. Experience in commercial litigation and bodily injury litigation strongly preferred. This position can be hybrid or fully remote, but candidates must reside in the state of Florida.

Job Description

• Research the details and evidence involved in cases, review client documentation, or pleadings previously filed in a case, as well as applicable law.
• Interpret case law and decisions handed down by other applicable courts. This can involve analyzing the effects of many factors that might have been involved in other cases.
• Draft defensive motions including motions for protective order, motions to quash, etc.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and other documents, such as legal memorandums, and settlement agreements.
• Appear in court before a judge or jury to orally defend a client's rights and best interests.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed attorney in Florida.
• Must have a great work ethic and work well in a team setting.
• Must be highly motivated & self-starter.
• Must be a professional with good business acumen.

Skills Sets

• Nerves of steel: An attorney must remain unflappable when things go wrong in court in front of a critical audience.
• Communication skills: An attorney must be able to communicate well both in writing and orally.
