Insights Analyst, LinkedIn Sales Solutions
The LinkedIn Insights team blends data analytics and business strategy to propel client development for our field sales and marketing organizations. Our goal is to create data-driven insights to power the most effective sales & marketing engine in the world.
As an Insights Analyst for Sales Solutions you will have the opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing business line at LinkedIn. Leveraging one of the richest proprietary data sets in the world, you will produce insights that support our field sales and marketing strategy. You will work closely with our sales and product marketing teams to produce sales proposals, client business reviews, and marketing material. In this role, you will become an expert at extracting data from our massive data set and turning it into business insights. Having an entrepreneurial attitude is a must as you will represent Insights by owning the relationship with our key stakeholders across all North America.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and be proficient in querying databases in SQL. You must be able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work with sales teams to figure out exactly what is impactful to clients. Your stakeholders won’t always know what’s possible, so it is important that you ask effective questions to get clarity in addition to managing expectations on what you can deliver. You will have exposure to internal and external business leaders and will be expected to produce and communicate actionable recommendations effectively.
Leverage LinkedIn’s unique data to create innovative narratives and tools to address business challenges
Write SQL/Hive/Pig/Python queries to extract necessary data and utilize Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint to analyze the results and present the relevant business insights to clients
Help end-clients in recruiting, marketing and business development roles make better decisions using data
Build cross-functional consensus for operational improvements and partner effectively with other teams
Collaborate closely with the sales, business analytics, product and other insights team members to provide analysis, reporting and tool-building capabilities that inform our key stakeholders
Develop scalable and repeatable playbooks/guides for internal and external stakeholders
BA/BS degree in math, marketing, statistics, economics or related quantitative field
3 years of experience in analytics or consulting
Experience with SQL and relational databases
MA/MS degree or PhD in math, marketing, statistics, economics or related quantitative field
Experience in advertising and marketing analytics
Experience in the technology industry providing actionable insights to customers
Experience with Teradata, Hadoop (Hive/Pig), Tableau and Python
Experience with project management and working cross-functionally with data services, engineering, marketing & sales teams
Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Knowledge of social media and consumer Internet practices
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, statistical & data analysis skills
Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
