The Enterprise Capacity & Materials Planning Strategy (ECMPS) team within Pratt & Whitney is a rapidly growing organization established to assess the demand and output capacity of the entire P&W operations and supply chain network . Business Analytics & Decision Support (BADS) is a key team within ECMPS and Pratt & Whitney as a whole. The BADS team is responsible for calculating and publishing company-wide metrics, reports, and analytics. As an intern on the BADS team you will have an opportunity to utilize machine learning and AI techniques towards the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics to help guide the company towards future success. This team touches all areas of the business, and offers a great opportunity for analytical-minded students to get a complete picture of how a large company like Pratt & Whitney functions and how modern analytics techniques are changing the manufacturing landscape. During your time as an analyst, you will be working on real analytics projects with experienced professionals, which will have a real and lasting impact on Pratt & Whitney. You will have opportunity to experience and manage all aspects of the analytical deployment cycle, including working with the customer to understand requirements, developing coding logic to transform data, and creating and presenting visualizations and reports that drive actionable insights in the business. This is a high performance, highly collaborative team, and successful candidates will be highly motivated, team oriented individuals, interested in using data to drive change. Qualification: Required: Self-motivated with the ability to learn on the fly Strong analytical thinking skills Ability to communicate clearly Ability to work effectively as part of a team Basic coding experience Preferred: Proficiency in at least one coding language Familiarity with SQL Familiarity with analytics tools such as MATLAB, R, or Python Exposure to manufacturing and supply chain concepts Experience with other data analysis tools and methods Education: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program in computer science, engineering, or a related field with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
