The candidate receives and processes various information, including charges, pleadings and correspondence. Uses computerized data management system to retrieve and verify information, assist in trial/hearing preparation, or gather and document evidence or other information. May pull and/or re-file case files for courts, prepare and maintain court-related records and report and code/collate information. Prepares court files which include calculating payment histories; reviewing chronological case histories, making notes on case ledger that is pertinent to the hearing that day. Enters new cases and/or updates current cases or dispositions. Answers telephone and otherwise communicates with the public. should have High school diploma or GED. 12 months minimum related experience, paralegal training highly preferred.
