Legal Assistant - Paralegal

The candidate will work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings. Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers. Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits. Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews. Assure that the Firm’s litigation calendars are accurately maintained and organized. Assure that the dockets are in order. Set up hearings, communicate with courts, and prepare hearing binders. Assist lawyers in communicating with clients and advising clients. Should have 1+ year of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting or accounting firm. Should be talented communicator and writer. Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills.
