At Bristol Myers Squibb, we are inspired by a single vision – transforming patients’ lives through science. In oncology, hematology, immunology and cardiovascular disease – and one of the most diverse and promising pipelines in the industry – each of our passionate colleagues contribute to innovations that drive meaningful change. We bring a human touch to every treatment we pioneer. Join us and make a difference.
The Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology Group in the Oncogenesis TRC at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) focuses on delivering novel cancer therapeutics by engaging E3 ubiquitin ligases for targeted protein degradation. We are seeking a motivated Senior Scientist with broad experience and a passion to contribute toward the small-molecule drug discovery process. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment to 1) design, develop and execute experiments in support of mechanism of action studies and discovery of small molecules as clinical development candidates; and 2) explore novel targets, biology, and techniques to establish new drug discovery projects or technical capabilities. The desired candidate should have broad experience in cell biology and in vitro cell culture techniques and a willingness to learn and adapt to any direction a project may take them. The candidate is expected to be able to work as an independent scientist, but also extensively collaborate or coordinate with other functional areas and contribute as part of a team to make project-based decisions.

Find, establish, and execute techniques or assays that are key for understanding mechanism of action of our compounds/targets
Develop new drug discovery projects based on literature and mining of existing data sets
Analyze and present data in an organized and timely manner
Contribute to project strategy decisions
Ph.D in biology with 3 years postdoc or industry experience
