Assistant Trader

The candidate will be responsible for executing trade, trade captures, trading activity reports and risk calculations. Will provide support to traders by processing trades, maintaining position records and preparing reports. Assists in managing liquidity and interest rate exposures related to the ALM operation including money market trading related to CD / CP issuances and interbank, FX/cross currency& interest rate swap transaction, customer deposits for funding purposes, planning and existing counterparty relationship management within the allocated authorities under the supervision of Treasury Team Manager and/or Assistant Managers. Conducts the Treasury team operations and addresses/troubleshoots irregularities with senior team members. Develops and enhances procedure manual in the Treasury Team and trains other new persons to standardize the operational quality. Supports the enhancement of the Treasury Team operational workflow to reduce operational burden and irregularities. Assists in all the planning and execution of Treasury Team tasks under the supervision of Treasury Team Manager. Prepares periodic and on-demand reports and documents to the Senior Management and Head Office. Abides by all Compliance related procedures. Conducts the Treasury Team-related administrative tasks. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Must have Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in business, finance, economics or law preferred. 1-3 years of experience as a funding / money trading assistant or in bank operations preferred. Must have Good business mathematical skills and Good computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and Good oral and written communications skills.
