Position Overview

Product Manager that can closely engage with our broad customer base including Land Development and Transportation Agencies throughout North America with the goal of researching and prioritizing requirements that result in excellent customer solutions that match business goals. Responsibilities and success measures for this role include:


Lead the proactive gathering and prioritization of workflow requirements spanning focus industries throughout North America for use in the product planning process. This includes close interaction and coordination with the Product Managers (e.g., Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Revit PMs), BSM, sales, and Autodesk leadership

Act as the central PDG (Product Delivery Group) contact for priority infrastructure sub-segments (Land Development, Road/Highway, and Rail) throughout North America. This includes increasing PDG presence within U.S. DOTs, Canadian MoTs and commercial consulting organizations including site visits, workflow assessment, support of DoT/MoT opportunities, User Groups, Transportation Advisory Board meetings and more

Increase Product Delivery Group awareness of current and potential competitive solutions. This includes leading efforts related to product-level competitive assessments

Own the development and communication of a solution plan that aligns with business priorities. This includes working with BSM, PM, and product teams responsible for products including Civil 3D, InfraWorks, AutoCAD, Revit or partner applications that can be leveraged to provide a complete solution

Work closely with Infrastructure PDG scrum teams to ensure that critical customer requirements are understood and delivered resulting in compelling workflows that will clearly differentiate Autodesk in the market. This includes connecting scrum teams with customers that will be involved with user experience research and ongoing scrum team reviews

Minimum Qualifications

5 years of road/highway and land development design and production experience required

Production-level experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk InfraWorks required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Production-level experience with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking

The Ideal Candidate

Maintain a close working relationship with Product Managers that are responsible for individual products

Teams have clear, concise and definitive customer / requirement information that can be used throughout the product scope, chartering and implementation process. This may include information gathered from the Industry PM or by connecting customers with UX and Scrum teams as needed

This PM quickly responds to Product Owners, User Experience and scrum teams in order to maximize team efficiency and deliverable quality

Key customers in North America have a clear communication channel that ensures their requirements are understood and factored into our planning. It does NOT mean that all of their requirements will be automatically addressed
