Set-up and operate CNC Machining centers in the Machine Shop. Verify compliance of first piece to drawing, router, CNC program and operation. Train machine operators to accurately run parts in assigned machining operations.
Correcting and improving existing CNC programs . Must be able to write and create new programs as needed.
Must be able to read and analyze prints to assure correct dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates
Must be able to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances. Understand and operate or use proficiently all measuring and gaging equipment in assigned area.
Responsible for proper machine set-up, operation, and maintenance.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tool, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
Must have good math skills and computer knowledge.
Must have knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures
Must work well in stressful situations and be a quick learner, open and able to adapt quickly to new tasks and processes
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
