Job Overview:

A reputable law firm located in Tampa, FL, is seeking a skilled litigator to join its First Party Windshield Department. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in both windshield litigation and bodily injury (BI) cases. The attorney will begin by managing windshield cases through litigation, trial, and collections, with the potential to take on pre-suit BI cases as they develop proficiency.

Duties:

• Handle litigation of first-party windshield cases from start to trial and collections.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Transition to managing pre-suit bodily injury cases as skills develop.
• Work under a comprehensive training program to enhance litigation capabilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on strategy and case preparation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Florida Evidence Code.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail, aggressive problem-solving skills, and a dedicated work ethic.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, and trial participation.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in negotiation and litigation tactics.
• Capacity for aggressive representation in plaintiff cases.
