Structured Products and Derivatives Associate Attorney

New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a structured products and derivatives associate attorney with 3-5 years of structured products, derivatives, and/or other relevant securities law experience gained within private practice or in-house. The candidate will work in the derivatives group on credit and other derivatives transactions, repositions, and other financing transactions. Advise clients and non-US firm offices on US regulatory issues pertaining to OTC derivatives, including the Dodd-Frank Act and related bankruptcy law issues. Take primary responsibility for some secondary trading transactions in loans and claims (after training). Draft and review offering documents for programs and takedowns. Review and negotiate distribution agreements and other arrangements with third parties. Contribute to department know-how. Provide supervision and on-the-job training to a sizable team of junior associates and paralegals. Support the firm's global teams in providing US securities law advice. Admission to the New York Bar is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.
