The Project Manager provides direction, coaching, and mentoring to share their knowledge and expertise in project management to others. Essential Responsibilities:Scope the length and complexity of the project tasks, deliverables, and milestonesManage deliverables that are within the project scope as well as changes for requirements that are added or deletedSchedule and coordinate the tasks of the highly interdependent deliverables, resources, projects, and initiativesIdentify the projects and/or programs critical path and plan and measure the project goals and objectivesEffective project cost management through planning, estimating, budgeting, and controlling costs to ensure completion within fiscal constraints.Value projects for cost savings, reports expenditures, prepares funding allocations, and justifies cost discrepancies from planned to actual costsEffectively address project risks through mitigation response and escalation strategy.Understand activities within all project phases inclusive of: (a) initiation, (b) planning, (c) executing, (d) monitoring and controlling, (e) closing.Report status and address project questions with the team and leadership and provide up-to-date information on the project dashboard and SharePoint sites to ensure all status reports are current and correct for all stakeholders to reviewWork with various departments and provides, when necessary, assistance in project management to move initiatives forwardOffer proficiency and expertise to others and shares knowledge and insight into other projects/programsCreate and maintain a repository for department-level projects and knowledge management, allowing our business stakeholders to regularly communicate relevant information to senior leadershipUtilize project management tools for resource planning and project estimatesOther duties as assignedMinimum Experience and Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) DiplomaFive (5) years active project management experienceUnderstand concepts of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).Practical knowledge of the Project and Program Management Lifecycle Sound decision making ability, analytical reasoning and organizational skills with the ability to successfully complete multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of and ability to apply project management techniques, tools and documentsExposure to business processes in reference to “Procure to Pay”, “Order to Cash”, “Record to Report”, “Hire to Retire”.Financial acumen, net present value analysis, moderate return on investment analysis, and ability to structure a business case (or ability to quickly learn said skills)Technology and systems knowledge (cursory knowledge of how Information Technology systems work from a business standpoint)Strong teamwork skillsSelf-motivated and the ability to work with little supervisionExcellent presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAvailable for occasional overnight travel (10%)Proficient with the Microsoft Project, Visio and Office Suite (Excel, Word PowerPoint, Outlook)Flexible and able to work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAble to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug testLegally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedPreferred Experience and Qualifications:Bachelor’s DegreeKnowledge of SAP and SAP business processesPrevious Human Resource ,Finance, or Supply Chain experienceProject Management Certification (PMP)Crewmember Expectations: Regular attendance and punctualityPotential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-noticeWell groomed and able to maintain a professional appearanceWhen working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraftMust be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and PassionEquipment:Computer and other office equipmentWork Environment:Normal office environmentPhysical Effort: Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently.
