The Specialty Strategy Advancement Advisor supports the Director, Specialty Product Strategy and Senior Product Managers in strategic roadmap initiatives, development, delivery, and management of the Specialty (Dental, Vision, Life) portfolio for the Employer Group Business.

Responsibilities

The Strategy Advancement Advisor - Ancillary Products and Partnerships leads product roadmap strategic initiatives, communicates status of projects with critical partners like sales and marketing, leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems, and the evaluation and execution of partnerships, joint venture, and business partnerships. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on analysis to determine the best course of action. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related task.

The Strategy Advancement Advisor - Ancillary Products and Partnerships ensures that the Specialty product roadmap reflects an ambitious, yet achievable agenda to realize differentiation and growth in the marketplace, aligning with our segment and enterprise strategies. Will leverage both visual and written forms of communication, have experience in story lining for effective content and presentation development.

The Strategy Advancement Advisor in coordination with the Senior Product Manager, will regularly partner with sales to drive an optimized and competitive Specialty portfolio. Understanding network design, benefit design, product compliance, and pricing/trend levers will be key to success of the role. Success outcomes for the role are measured at a segment scorecard level, supporting overall growth and sales goals, member engagement, and NPS, alongside our ability to differentiate our core ancillary plan offerings.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

5 or more years of communications and strategy experience

2 or more years of project leadership experience

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Experience and knowledge of embedded and stand-alone ancillary product solutions and capabilities; understand the value of digital and consumer oriented health products with the consumer experience at the forefront.

Highly engaged, competitive and execution oriented - driven to achieve excellence and differentiated results through local partnership with our sales team to meet and exceed group membership growth targets.

Ability to adapt quickly and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comfortably and effectively communicate with a variety of internal & external business leaders which include clients, brokers, management and business executives.

Detail-oriented and organizational skills

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.

Additional Information

Work shift will be in Central or Eastern Time Zone

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
