First Party Property Legal Assistant
The candidate will work for two associates. Insurance defense experience is required, and first party property experience is a plus. Position requires strong organizational skills, ability to perform well within a team environment and communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel. Must be familiar with court procedures and have extensive experience scheduling, drafting legal documents, and filing pleadings in state and federal courts. Knowledge of case management systems is required. Familiarity with L&A codes, billing software, and proven competency to capture time and bill according to guidelines in a timely manner, a must. Must have good written and verbal communication skills, good common sense, and excellent problem-solving skills. Should have a good attendance record.
