Part-time Special Assistant To The General Counsel
The candidate will coordinate, manage, support, and implement projects and operations for the General Counsel and Compliance Officer. Support, develop, coordinate, and execute short and long-term projects and initiatives, including with other CASES departments and programs. Manage legal initiatives and operations to ensure efficiency and responsiveness, including by facilitating communications and workflow and implementing project management and technological tools. Serve as liaison with other departments and programs. Schedule meetings and calls, prepare materials and notes, and ensure follow-up for various Board, leadership, and staff meetings. Provide and spearhead administrative support including maintaining files, maintaining contact lists, proofreading, formatting, and finalizing documents across departments. Assist with developing budget and managing legal bills, invoices, purchases, etc. Support and engage in investigations and litigation-related activities including managing organization wide litigation holds, assisting with investigations of complaints and charges, including drafting summaries and responses. Assist with contracting, including tracking, drafting, researching, proofreading. Assist with Board-related responsibilities, including updating materials and collecting forms. Develop, draft, and implement policies and procedures. Conduct research, synthesize information, and maintain resource library. Draft timely and accurate communications and memos. Draft and participate in presentations. Participate in meetings, taskforces, and workgroups. Other projects and tasks as may be requested by the General Counsel or Compliance Officer. Bachelor’s Degree required. Should have 3+ years of total work experience with nonprofit, healthcare, government, or law firm. Experience as paralegal, chief of staff or legal operations preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and advanced proficiency with Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, charts, and formulas). Experience visualizing and analyzing data. Experience with statistical analysis (Stata, SPSS, etc.) and data-visualization software (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) a plus.
