Strategic Sourcing Manager

The candidate will indirectly manage teams supporting engagements with the business. Support the business in managing a category of spend of approximately $100 million. Engage directly with the business units to build strategies for the assigned work including requests for proposals, information requests, and reverse auctions. Lead the development and implementation of a category for complex strategic sourcing activities. Conduct market analysis, analyzes category spend data and apply broad industry knowledge to sourcing strategies and recommendations. Work closely with business partners to source best-in-class goods and or services to advance the Bank’s goals and objectives. Identify and communicate category-related trends to the business. Manage individual project timelines. Execute complex RFx or other sourcing events. Support the Bank’s minority and women owned business enterprise (MWBE)/Supplier Diversity program aspirations. Coordinate negotiations with suppliers for high-dollar, complex or high priority goods and or services. Engage business partners to determine negotiation objectives. Leverage multiple negotiation methodologies to achieve desired outcomes in a consistent and methodical manner. Partner closely with the business and subject matter experts to ensure the best interests of the bank are always represented in negotiations. Manage the interaction with the business, IT, Vendor Management, Business Technology Partners and suppliers throughout the negotiation process. Work closely with business partners to define key performance indicators and service level agreements to hold suppliers accountable. Provide senior level leadership. Manage business relationships, acting as a liason between Shared Services and the business leadership. Provide expertise and mentor others. Develop and recommend continuous improvement efforts. Stay abreast of external sourcing strategy best practices and make recommendations accordingly. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Partner with Shared Services teams to pull in additional staff support when needed. Four year degree is required; advanced degree (MBA and/or J.D.) is a plus. Should have 5-7 years of sourcing financial services or related industry experience
