Business Analyst - Legal Analyst for Online Courses

Duties: Evaluate institutional policy to develop compliant online teaching and learning practices. Develop, analyze, and implement strategies for both achieving goals and for cooperating with outside entities using legally and institutionally acceptable methods. Design institutional policies which comply with relevant laws and accreditation standards without unduly burdening team members. Draft, negotiate, and explain the terms and impacts of internal Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), licensing agreements, and compensation agreements. Execute necessary documents per project workflows. Assist in developing an online "commitment system" that automates project workflows while preserving cloud-based document records of all commitments and transactions. Serve as liaison between Liberal Arts ITS / Project 2021 Development Studio staff and the Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs. Research the state of law regarding intellectual property issues related to online course development and conduct literature reviews of academic publications related to product design. Address faculty and staff concerns about the legal and policy issues that arise during the course design process. Advise on issues related to copyright standards and best practices.
