Program Coordinator (Mobility Initiatives)
The Detroit Regional Chamber in Detroit, MI is looking to hire a talented individual to serve as our first ever Coordinator, Mobility Initiatives. This individual will work jointly between our MICHauto program and Detroit Drives Degrees Community College Collaborative. Our MICHauto program serves as a statewide automotive and mobility industry association for the State of Michigan and the Detroit Drives Degrees Community College Collaborative, supports regional community colleges in advancing learning experiences and access to quality jobs. This exciting new role will assist numerous mobility projects and assist with coordinating the various activities related to creating sector-based talent partnerships to support the region's mobility industry.

ABOUT DETROIT REGIONAL CHAMBER
The Detroit Regional Chamber leads the most comprehensive talent and education portfolio of programs and policy work in the state. With the goal to increase postsecondary degree attainment in Southeast Michigan to 60% by 2030 and reduce the racial equity gap by half in that same timeframe, the Chamber's work will grow the talent pool for employers. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROGRAM COORDINATOR (MOBILITY INITIATIVES)
The person in this role should be passionate about talent and about the Detroit region. The person in this position will support agenda development and scheduling\/ convening employers, higher education institutions and\/or automotive businesses focused on developing mobility curricula and programs. This role will support the development, learning, and engagement opportunities for regional mobility partnerships. Assist with a cohesive project plan that incorporates multiple funding streams and grant programs. Help provide project management for mobility initiatives to ensure activities are being carried out in accordance with grant requirements and timelines. In this role you will also assist with grant and budget management by reporting on necessary grant outcomes and deliverables according to grant agreements.

The person in this position should be comfortable providing regular updates and reports on project activities to grant partners and other external stakeholders. They will also work to identify additional funding opportunities to support ongoing mobility sector talent work.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROGRAM COORDINATOR (MOBILITY INITIATIVES)
This position requires a entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to the equity-driven mission of this work. Knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.

Bachelor's preferred, or in place of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience.

Experience in corporate relations, higher education, and\/or grant management.

2 years of progressive experience that requires critical thinking and excellent project management skills, grant management and compliance. Knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.
Able to travel within Michigan and attend early morning and\/or late evening meetings and events.
Proficient in desktop applications and comfortable with usage of CRM databases.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A PROGRAM COORDINATOR (MOBILITY INITIATIVES)
This position is full-time and typically works Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. The person in this role will occasionally need to travel throughout Southeastern Michigan. There are also opportunities to work from home.
**This position is grant funded and will only be maintained as long as the funds are provided by an external source.**
