A law firm seeks a skilled Bankruptcy Litigation Attorney to join its team in the U.S. offices, specifically in New York City. The ideal candidate will possess a strong litigation background and demonstrate a keen interest in trial work, focusing on high-stakes bankruptcy and liability management disputes.

Duties:

• Manage and represent clients in complex bankruptcy litigation, including both Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings.
• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and prepare legal documents.
• Draft, review, and file various litigation documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Take and defend depositions, and represent clients in court hearings and mediations.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop innovative solutions for clients’ legal challenges.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of litigation experience with a focus on bankruptcy law.
• Proven expertise in handling depositions and evidentiary hearings.
• Strong legal analysis, writing, and drafting skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the bar of the state where the attorney will practice.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively present cases and interact with clients.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to legal challenges.
