In-house Real Estate Attorney / General Council
The candidate should have experience in practicing real estate law. Experience in real estate law and/or associated operations specific to: Developer contract development and maintenance. Title and closing procedures. Lien disputes and construction contract administration. Escrow account management. Lease negotiation. Acquisition negotiations. Lender underwriting coordination/requirements. Land use and rezoning processes. HOA. General Legal Matters, including to Human Resources, Risk Management, Construction Law and Construction Liens. Lead development and/or review of real estate documents to include but not limited to contracts, leases, covenants, conditions and restrictions. Assist in the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, leases, amendments, loan documents, settlement agreements, management agreements, fee agreements and operating agreements. Review due diligence items, including organizational documents, title and survey, and address closing matters. Negotiate, prepare, and revise restrictive covenants, subordination agreements, loan agreements and modifications. Document and provide legal support to the management team regarding the legal ramifications / consequences regarding choices made on properties, contracts. Assist the Company’s field management with legal matters where necessary. Must be licenced/ Active (Florida only) real estate Attorney, with no history of suspension or discipline. Should have 5 years of current, relevant work experience as a transactional / real estate attorney or in providing legal support to real estate developers.
