Legal Manager, Corporate
The candidate will assist with public company filings and compliance, including Section 16 filings, SEC periodic reporting, proxy statements, and day-to-day compliance with respect to the Company’s insider trading policy. Support broader corporate secretary function on governance and other corporate matters, including support and coordination of Board and committee meetings (both with internal stakeholders and with Board members) and other matters including preparation of minutes, shareholder engagement, and corporate recordkeeping. Support attorneys in all stages of capital markets and related financing transactions and related matters, including running the diligence process. Ensure compliance on various internal corporate processes and controls and maintain corporate databases. Assist corporate team in providing general corporate support to finance, treasury, tax, and other internal legal, G&A, and operations teams on broad range of matters. Work with a global paralegal team to support and maintain Uber’s expansive portfolio of .domestic and international legal entities. A minimum of ten years (10) years of paralegal experience in either a law firm or an in-house legal department focusing on corporate work. Prior experience with public company reporting obligations, including Section 16 filings, and in-house public company governance experience, is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate. Technical savvy. Proficient with Google docs, Google sheets, Adobe, and e-signing tools such as DocuSign. Excellent business judgment, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communications and collaboration skills. Given Uber's global presence, this will be a very cross-functional role, with partner teams potentially spanning multiple offices across multiple time-zones.
