A busy elder and special needs planning law firm is looking for an experienced estate administration(EA) paralegal/legal assistant. This role will assist with tasks related to estate, probate, and trust administration.

Hours are flexible with full-time and part-time opportunities available. In-office availability is needed, but work from home days are possible. Pay is offered at competitive market rates and based on experience. Please list your salary requirements in your cover letter or resume.

  • Work with clients and attorneys to complete the estate administration process to provide a positive experience for our clients
  • Probating estates and gathering decedent’s asset information to accurately administer the decedent's estate
  • Preparing the Pennsylvania inheritance tax return and communicating with the Department of Public Welfare to complete the required process for administration of the estate
  • Attend appointments independently or with attorneys and interact with clients to gather information, provide updates, and complete paperwork
  • Serve as the main contact for clients and estate beneficiaries providing information and progress updates regularly to ensure client satisfaction
  • Clearly communicate with clients and team members on a consistent basis.




  • Paralegal Certificate, Associate degree or higher in paralegal or legal studies and at least two years of estate administration experience or equivalent combination of education, work experience, and training in the estate administration process
  • Knowledge of the Pennsylvania estate administration process and preparation of the Pennsylvania inheritance tax return
  • Proven ability to handle high volume workloads
  • Excellent math aptitude and strong Word and Excel skills
  • Professional written, telephone, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Lackner or other Estate and Tax Accounting software
  • Maintain punctuality with all tasks and responsibilities.



$41,500+ DOE
