Digital Marketing Specialist - EMAILis responsible for design, creation, and delivery of marketing related content (written and graphical) that supports marketing activities of the various home builder divisions of D.R. Horton, Inc.
The Email Marketing Specialist will work on multiple projects and campaigns at a time. Must work within tight deadlines and budget(s) and have excellent communication and time management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following (other duties may be assigned).
Responsible for creating email marketing campaigns to promote a product or service
Determines target audience, devises campaign, and launches email campaign to create buzz or generate leads for the business
Designs templates, in email friendly HTML, that can be easily adjusted for print and used in areas of the business
Reviews email marketing content for accurate grammar and factual information
Ensures messages are sent in proper form and template
Provides ongoing maintenance of email templates to ensure deliverability and usability
Reviews email marketing performance as a whole and at a granular level, to report findings
Uses email analytics to re-define current processes and procedures
Provides feedback and analysis to divisions on their email marketing initiatives
Assists division users on email creation, segmentation, launch, and analysis
Trains division users on email marketing platform changes
Develops automated email marketing programs with the help of division user feedback
Stays up-to-date on email best practices and integrates them into the overall email marketing strategy for the business
Some development and coordination of web graphics, brochures, logos, and imagery for specific assignments may be required
Assists in other areas of digital marketing that include, but are not limited to, social media, graphic design, CMS and CRM
No supervisory role

Ability to listen to intended details attentively
Candidate must be proficient or have working knowledge of:
o Strong HTML (email friendly) – should be able to read HTML and troubleshoot HTML as necessary.
o ExactTarget and or Silverpop experience a plus.
o Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.)
o CAN-SPAM Requirements
o Email Best Practices
Must also have intermediate or working knowledge of the following concepts:
o Web Analytics (UTM tracking)
o Social Media
Understanding of platform integrations, a plus.
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· 2 years of experience creating, developing, managing and analyzing email marketing initiatives
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
