General Ledger Accountant
The candidate will maintain basic monthly general ledger reconciliations, as well as bank reconciliations. Assist with the audit of escrow and fiduciary trust accounts. Maintain fixed asset ledgers. Prepare personal property tax filings. Prepare income tax filings with assistance from External Auditors. Learn the payroll process to be the back-up to the Payroll Manager. Manage the day to day tasks currently managed by the Director of Finance relating to system upkeep. Process monthly financial reports. Assist with simple legal billing and cash application when additional back up is necessary. Correspond with attorneys, vendors and clients as needed. Assist with special projects as needed. Assist in the year end audit as needed. Assist with processing of bulk mailings throughout the month. Audit expense requests to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies. High school diploma degree is required. Accounting College Degree is required. CPA is preferred.
