Legal Billing Specialist
The candidate prepares and processes daily invoicing in accordance with the guidelines of the Firm and the various requirements/guidelines of our clients in conjunction with any special agreements that may exist for a particular client. Reviews and verify that billing is accurate and complete, including but not limited to the review of rates and time narratives. Invoices matter to the specification of each attorney while adhering to client billing guidelines. Electronically bills or delivers invoices as outlined by delivery mode. Enters additional documents requested by the client, such as invoice summaries, excel spreadsheets, formula charts, budgets, and supporting documents. Identify electronic sort payment and proceed with the appeal process as required. Cross Train with other team members to assist with coverage. Two- or four-year college degree preferred, with specialization in law firm accounting or finance highly preferred. Experience in Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel, is a must.
Should have 3 years of experience in some combination of billing, accounting, credit, and administration. Electronic billing experience with E-Billing, E-Bill Vendor sites is a plus. Should have Bachelor's degree.
