What you'll be doing as the Global Sr Payroll Manager:
Within the United States
Responsible for ensuring accurate payroll preparation and production of semi-monthly payrolls
Ensure compliance with tax withholding and regulatory reporting requirements
Review and audit of data processed by other team members including onboarding, offboarding, final and severance pay, corrections and benefit compliance
Identify and resolve employee payroll issues.
Prepare and oversee preparation of a variety of payroll related documents (e.g. retirement plan contributions, voluntary insurance billing, worker’s compensation reporting, PTO, local tax) for the purposes of compliance, internal control and audit
Support and work closely with Human Resources, external services providers, Accounting & Finance and Tax to streamline and develop processes that ensure accurate payroll processing around the globe
Monitor tax notices, wage orders, and governmental correspondences; record tax payments and perform reconciliations in a timely manner
Work with tax agencies (Foreign, Federal, State and Local) and payroll service providers to resolve tax issues
Manage timesheet administration for professional services and non-exempt employees
Develop and maintains policies and procedures related to the Payroll department.
Create system and process improvements, providing analytical and statistical reports
Support internal and external audits
Coordination of year-end processing
Partner with ADP to process tax payments along with quarterly & annual reporting
Work closely with HR teams on domestic policy changes that impacts pay including local laws
Approve employee moves and tax changes within ADP
International
Oversee the Immedis global platform and optimize payroll operations using this solution
Manage and coordinate relevant payroll data change at multiple international locations in Canada, Europe and Asia.
Ensure local compliance with all pay related monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory filings
Communicate with local managers to ensure accurate leave time tracking and reporting
Coordinate with Human Resources, Finance and external payroll providers to ensure that expatriate assignments follow local and/or expatriate payroll processes.
A willingness to work flexibly with external providers in their local time zones as issues arise
Answer employee inquiries in a timely manner
Coordinate with international providers and/or staff for responses to governmental inquiries and/or audits
Maintain international payroll records
What we're looking for in a Senior Global Payroll Manager
A minimum of five years relative payroll experience
Experience managing, building, and developing teams
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred
Thorough knowledge of payroll practices, auditing and procedures
Experience using ADP Workforce Now
Great organizational skills and attention to detail
Understanding of multi-state taxation
Ability to research and resolve inquiries, seek solutions and follow through on complex tasks
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Maintain and build a high level of customer service with employees and stakeholders
Ability to work independently but also within a global team
Associate's/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
