- Description This position is in the Research and Testing unit of the Modeling Center of Excellence (COE) which is a centrally organized modeling team promoting best practices and process improvements through collaboration and talent mobility.The Research and Testing team is responsible for research of user modeling needs, proof of concept development, and model testing in GGY AXIS.The team will also interface with users to provide GGY AXIS consultative services.The associate will work closely with partners from the business units, the Valuation COE, and other Modeling COE units.This function will enforce consistent system design across GGY AXIS models, mitigating and arbitrating issues and risks for model development. The individual will have the opportunity to develop skills in GGY AXIS, Visual Basic, advanced MS Excel, advanced MS Access, SQL, and C# during the process of research and testing Prudential\u2019s actuarial models.Any experience in the aforementioned areas will be a plus.The individual should also possess advanced quantitative and analytical skills which will be key to solving complicated business and\/or actuarial problems and communicating technical concepts to a wide audience.Strong communication, documentation, and testing skills are desired. Qualifications \u2022 Bachelor's degree is required \u2022 ASA or close to ASA preferred \u2022 Minimum of 4 years of actuarial experience required \u2022 Experience in model development, implementation and\/or validation a plus \u2022 Experience with GGY AXIS is a plus \u2022 Knowledge of life insurance, annuity and retirement products is a plus \u2022 Superior technical skills and ability to understand complex quantitative concepts and models \u2022 Strong oral and communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to a wide range of business partners, both actuarial and non-actuarial \u2022 Programming experience including MS Excel and Visual Basic preferred Prudential is a multinational financial services leader with operations in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
