Paralegal (Contracts)-Hybrid
The candidate will generate agreements from standard approved templates. Review and negotiate (with attorney oversight) standard agreements, such as mutual non-disclosure agreements, evaluation agreements, routine SOWs and Orders and other contract matters as appropriate. Draft legal communications, presentations, and reports. Assign incoming contract matters based on volume, priority, complexity, and subject matter. Liaise with procurement/vendor management business partners to answer questions about processes, matter status, contracts, and other Legal team inquiries. Lead and/or participate in training sessions for our business partners and the Legal team. Assist with department projects and initiatives as needed. Analyze and maintain data, image, and music (CCC, ASCAP and BMI among others) licensing agreements. Review and negotiate a wide range of license agreements including Trademark license agreements (TLA), Patent Licensing, Copyright Licensing, Data and content Licensing, Consent and sponsorship Agreements and Releases. Monitor, track and manage all aspects of the application and renewal processes for licenses. Assist with the management of the transaction/licensing legal budget and invoicing procedures through eBilling system. Research and recommend cost savings opportunities. Initiate, prioritize, participate in, complete and own delivery of ongoing team projects with a goal of an improved, faster, and simpler way of doing work (automation, tracking, new processes). Additional responsibilities as opportunities become available.
