Where You Fit In -

Shell partners with an external Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management company (EPCM Company) on the execution of end-to-end installation of EV charge posts and construction of e-Mobility sites. The EPCM Advisor e- Mobility manages a strategic partnership via an EPCM Company in supporting e-Mobility business strategy and priorities. The EPCM advisor is the single point of accountability within Shell for the overall capex program delivery in the Market. This is a critical leadership position to lead the relationship with the EPCM organisation to deliver e-mobility projects and programs by effective and efficient project management that drives cost, cycle time, construction quality, HSSE and Global Design Standards compliance and continuous improvement. This role will be reporting to the EPCM Manager e- Mobility.

What's the role?

The E-mobility EPCM Advisor manages strategic partnership via an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management Company (EPCM Company) in supporting e-Mobility business strategy and priorities.

Additional responsibilities:

Drive HSSE mindset and compliance within the EPCM organisations and through them with contractors and sub-contractors.

Pro-actively drives the performance of the capex project and program delivery through the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management Company (EPCM Company) to agreed outcomes, meeting HSSE standards, Global Design Standards, customer needs and Retail business objectives.

Collaborate and track delivery of a cohesive and integrated annual installation/ construction program.

Support the compliance to the E2E project management system and oversight of the mandatory assurance requirements.

Collaborate on innovative ways to optimize installation costs and timelines to meet the global charge post cost and growth aspirations.

Work with EPCM company on continuous improvement including E2E Cycle Time Reduction, cost effectiveness and management without compromising safety and quality of work.

Develops and manages key stakeholder relationships with other Network functions including Network Planning, Real Estate, FM and Soil & Ground Water, Sales & Ops, and other external third parties such as Facility Management Company (FM Company) and pro-actively communicates with them in order to deliver the capex projects and programs through the EPCM Company in an integrated way and drive E2E value and reduction in Total Cost of Ownership

Manages interface with key stakeholders in other Network functions, Sales & Ops, Marketing and EPCM team to ensure the cross-business priorities are integrated into EPCM priorities

Ensure timely reporting and management of EPCM CAPEX / OPEX, delivery of budget management, savings, and value improvement targets.

Accountable for the compliance of documentation and license related to installation/construction activities.

Drives for timely resolution of issues via EPCM Company and build appropriate urgency.

Require the use of GSAP (SAP) to develop and manage projects (i.e purchase requisition, service entries, etc)

Accountable for managing all operational aspects of the contract as a Company Site Representative (CSR) in Contract Management Perspective. Manages day-to-day activities/progress against budget Discussing and agreeing changes with Contractor, where needed

Responsible for managing (developing, implementing, reviewing, updating Contract Management Plan. Ensures contract compliance. Monitors spend and manage contract within budget. Manages contract variations, resource changes, claims, etc. Reviews and signs off savings and value improvement claims

What We Need from You -

Must have a legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Experience in E-Mobility space and proven track record in program management is a plus

At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably managing EV charger installation or retail projects/ programs.

Accredited as Technical Authority Level 3 Business Control or ensure completion if selected for the role within 12 months

Project Management Professional (or equivalent) designation will be an asset.

Understands mobility business with regards to retailers/ wholesalers and customer interfaces

Strong stakeholders and Partner management skills (internal and external, including vendors/contractors)

Strong communication, negotiation, and engagement skills.

Solution-focused and self-motivated.

Experience in managing CI projects / CI Certification will be welcomed

Amenable to travel 50% of the time

*These tasks are including but not limited to all actions required to install EV chargers in North America.
