The candidate's duties include: Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements. Conduct legal research and analysis, prepare for, and attend hearings, depositions, and trials. Advise and represent clients on legal issues and disputes in courts, before government agencies, and in private legal matters. Communicate with colleagues, judges, attorneys, legal assistants, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently; Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, legal assistants, and support staff; Should have completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school; Successful completion of the bar exam (South Dakota). Iowa license is a plus.
