The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. The Cards & Retail Services team helps customers achieve their financial dreams by providing a variety of products across the credit spectrum. We deliver industry-leading rewards, offers and benefits that recognize and celebrate our customers' relationship with Wells Fargo. Our customers all have unique goals and dreams - whether preparing for a home improvement project, shopping for a new sofa or kitchen table or meeting healthcare and dental needs. Others just want a financial tool that allows them to make everyday purchases while earning rewards. Our team works together with groups across the company, including the bankers in our 6,200 banking stores, to provide financing in the form of general-purpose cards, co-branded cards and private-label and industry cards. Digital Incubator

team leads Wells Fargo's online and mobile credit card 3rd party marketing acquisition strategy and execution, partnering with product, marketing, credit risk, and loan operations teams to develop new digital card acquisition capabilities and offerings. The Digital Incubator will manage all aspects of digital card acquisition, from lead source prioritization, customer targeting and data measurement & analytics to application origination, underwriting and fulfillment.

THE POSITION

Exciting opportunity within the Digital Incubator team:

The Digital Incubator team is seeking an experienced digital marketing analyst to help drive the development of advanced and flexible digital analytic capabilities to generate actionable data-driven insights that help identify and prioritize opportunities for improving Credit Card acquisition sales and strategies within the digital channel. As an analyst on this team you should have experience with data systems functionality and experience collaborating with various business partners and IT teams to support the design and implementation of the digital data management program. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of how digital data is transmitted, stored, accessed, cleaned, and analyzed for credit card marketing and underwriting purposes, and have experience in supporting data system solutions that meet the needs of end users, taking into account existing data and analytic MIS systems and processes that already exist within business-as-usual functional teams. Provide insight and recommendations to define key online data elements/variables needed to support digital card acquisition efforts, identify potential sources of data, and support efforts to acquire data from relevant internal and external sources in cost effective, highly automated, and error-proof manner. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, business partners, and external agencies, translating business questions into data requirements to mine data, create datasets, and develop analytic insights with actionable recommendations to improve customer experience, marketing campaign performance, optimize marketing spend, and increase ROI. Knowledgeable in effective tagging and tracking capabilities, JavaScript code, database APIs, 3rd Party marketing platform and analytic software integration, as well as Big Data integration, and underlying data schema. You must have advanced skills in SQL, SAS and Excel for preparation of analytic data sets, ad hoc analysis and QA and ability to effectively communicate technical information and analytic findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

Support overall strategy, design and structure, and implementation for digital data management

Provide support for program data infrastructure, system functionality, and tagging and tracking solutions

Create varied datasets for use in analysis, modeling, and reporting development and enhancements

Mine and manipulate data, compile datasets and develop insightful analysis with actionable recommendations

Learn new tools and techniques based on what the projects require

Manage multiple project timelines concurrently

Lead through all aspects of the analytics lifecycle from intake and defining a business problem to extracting data, manipulating data, generating insights, and summarizing “the story” for partners and leaders.

Required Qualifications:

6 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

4 years of SQL or SAS experience

4 years of experience gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets

Desired Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Knowledge and understanding of digital channel systems, processes, and analytic tools-

Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
