Paralegal
The candidate will be responsible for: Provides high level support to internal and outside counsel. Assists with researching law, investigates facts, and prepares documents for the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Counsel by performing a variety of support duties. Maintains related systems to support these functions. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values. Drafts, edits and prepares legal documents, correspondence and legal research for the department. Schedules meetings, appointments, and trips for the Legal Services and Compliance department and Assistant General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer. Performs other job functions as required. Must have High School diploma or equivalent. Should have Certificate program in Paralegal studies. Must have 3+ years of practical experience in a law firm or law department. Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field desired. Must have familiarity with corporate legal documents. Must be proficient and skilled with Microsoft Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Should have skill and proficiency developed with formal paralegal training/education. Must have skill and proficiency in typing 45 wpm. Must have skill and proficiency in verbal and written communication. Must have skill and proficiency in proofreading letters and documents.
