Finance & Capital Markets Paralegal

The candidate ‘will work closely with the Shipman business, finance and corporate trusts client teams, assisting in all aspects of complex financial and capital markets transactions, default and workout transactions. Must have experience in, and understanding of, complex financial transactions, including document review and drafting documentation related to closings. The ability to prepare closing checklists from a review of loan documents and other finance agreements; conduct online UCC corporate, and court records searches; draft and file UCC financing statements; draft routine loan and indenture-related closing documents (e.g., closing certificates) and assist with all aspects related to final closing of transactions is required. A Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate is preferred. Solid understanding of UCC filing procedures, as well as experience working with complex financing documents, is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, keen attention to detail and proficiency in the MS Office Suite and Adobe are also required. Experience with Litera or Workshare is a plus.
