Within our Decision Science Center of Excellence, we’re seeking an expert in translating data from digital experiences into meaningful insights. The Senior Analyst, Decision Science will analyze behaviors in the digital channels with the purpose of understanding customer behaviors to help the business make decisions. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in:

Digital Analytics tools such as Google/Adobe Analytics.

Strong statistical background.

Experience in data mining and data preparation (query data and data manipulation) to transform data that will be incorporated into the predictive models we created or to prepare the data for analysis.

The Senior Analyst, Decision Science is an integral part of the Data and Analytics team that will be responsible for studying and modeling website behavior patterns and trends using various analytics tools to better understand the story behind the data and insights relevant to our business partners. S/He will use statistical-based approaches to problem solve, apply analytical modeling techniques across exploratory, classification, and prediction-based domains. This role requires critical thinking skills to synthesize data, present findings, provide recommendations and insights to all levels of the organization.

What will you do?

Actively partner and develop effective relationships with related groups in eCommerce management, Marketing, and Digital & Technology to facilitate and manage efforts across team to turn insights into practice on the site.

Providing key stakeholders with in-depth analysis of clickstream data from modeling that include insights into key behaviors such as visitor abandonment, engagement task completion rates and more.

Present user behavior insights and findings derived from model results for decision making by Ecommerce, Marketing and IT Management. Estimate financial an/or customer experience impact of site changes or features based on visitor behavior data.

Transform, query, and create visualizations on complex data topics to enable deeper analysis, insights, and recommendations.

Utilize A/B testing, through work with internal and external teams, as a tool to assistant in the measurement and evaluation of enhancements.

Recommending improvements to the website experience and numerous cross-site features based on quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Providing training and education related to applied statistics to the broader organization and team

What is required for this role?

The ideal candidate will roll up his/her sleeves to do the work and be a part of a team that is executing on the strategy. The most successful candidate will be someone who embraces the digital data and analytics with the ability to provide insights to the business that are compelling and aid in making business decisions. He/She will also be forward-thinking, curious, understand the retail world and has a past track record of significant accomplishments in using analytics tools to synthesize the data.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science areas or equivalent work experience

2 years of analytics experience visualizing and interpreting large data sets

Experience presenting insights to leaders and storytelling with data

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science areas

2 years of experience using digital analytics tools (e.g. Adobe or Google Analytics)

2 years of experience/familiarity with querying and data mining with SQL (BigQuery, Hive, etc.)

1 years of experience with R, Python, or other advanced analytics programming languages

1 years of experience working in cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure
