Manage a maintenance workforce through company strategic plans and values while directing, training, mentoring and developing employees with a consistent message and purpose.
Organize and ensure execution of daily shift and department maintenance tasks, ability to prioritize work and shift work force efficacy.
Develop and manage to an annual departmental budget, including labor, outside contractors, parts and materials, appropriate inventory, utilities, etc.
Build strategic working relationships with peers, vendors, and regulatory agencies in achieving and maintaining the accuracy and consistent flow of information, execution of procedures, and performance of overall operations.
Working knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration, Electrical, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Plumbing, Carpentry, Welding, Fabrication, Process Controls, Bottling/Packaging, Project Management and Construction.
Working knowledge of Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Cal-OSHA, EPA, etc. codes and regulations.
Interact with vendors to exploit technology, purchase equipment and services and resolve long term equipment, training and process issues.
Assist in planning, budgeting and executing Capital Projects successfully and on time.
Establish and maintain procedures and guidelines for ISO, RMP/PMS, HazMat, and other programs and certifications.
Guide staff in assessing, prioritizing and correcting refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment operations.
Develop reports on status and accomplishment of maintenance actions.
Ensure proper predictive and preventative maintenance is achieved with a balanced, efficient and strategically planned inventory.
Ensure all safety and compliance guidelines are met.
Serves as primary contact for internal winery facilities services.
Serve as Emergency Coordinator/Incident Commander, if needed.
1-3 years of Maintenance Experience
3-5 years Supervisory/Management
Experience in Manufacturing, food processing, or related field
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, Business or related field.
Solid working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration
Clear understanding of OSHA regulations
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods
Lifting may be required.
