The principal function of the Project Production Writer is to be the subject matter expert for writing project services related documentation with a focus on production.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for generating and/or driving the completion of methods and design layouts for the manufacture/packaging of material for a study, ensuring full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice. The Project Production Writer will utilize their knowledge of Production and Project Services processes, evaluate the output needed, and customize documentation to drive efficiency.

Providing expertise to Project Production staff on operational production and design processes and procedures to promote understanding between the two departments.

Collaborate with the Lead Investigator to review CAPA trends relating to method generation and other Project Production related investigations, with a view to increasing the instances of right first-time operations, reducing downtime and identifying improvements.

Technical review of Project production and design related documentation, looking for common errors based on trending information.

Providing expertise and supporting the process of creating and revising Project Production and/or operational SOPs.



High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work experience required

Bachelor's Degree in a related field, i.e. Science or Business Management highly preferred


A minimum of one year with a technical writing background; three or more years preferred

A minimum of one year working experience within project management

Customer service/client relations

Communication proficiency

Attention to detail

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
