Rue Gilt Groupe is looking for a Senior Marketing Data Analyst

to join our growing Business Analytics team to lead in our efforts in solving the most analytically complex questions in a fast-growing ecommerce company leveraging the trove of online data from our 16M members. We are in need of someone who can help us define and execute multi-million-dollar campaigns and investments aimed at accelerating Rue Gilt Groupe’s growth.

In this role, you will be focused on marketing analytics starting from customer acquisition through their lifecycle. It requires a combination of strong data exploration, business analytics and statistical skills along with a strong understanding of business strategy and experience in ecommerce.

In this role you will:

Enable Marketers to make better-informed decisions through elegant, accurate, and timely data visualizations and complex analyses

Become a subject-matter expert on internal datasets, key performance metrics, with special focus on ad-tech channels and drivers of customer life-time value

Build and maintain dashboards to enable close monitoring of paid marketing programs, new customer performance and identify opportunities to optimize a multimillion-dollar marketing budget

Build and maintain statistical/datamining models that predict customer LTV and related KPIs

Conduct statistical analysis and test business hypotheses, to help institute a rigorous test-and-learn methodology to achieve desired results

Develop consistent approaches and methodologies, automate repeatable tasks and drive process efficiencies

Present insights from quantitative analysis and models to a non-technical audience

Required: Database querying using SQL (or similar query language)

Required: Data mining and statistical packages such as R/Python

Required: BI/visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, Spotfire, Qlickview, etc.)

Required: Bachelors degree with major in mathematics, economics, statistics or business analytics

Required: 4 years’ experience in data analytics in consumer/retail/marketing/ad-tech or other quantitative fields

Required: Ability to tackle several projects simultaneously and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization

Required: Working knowledge of databases and data warehousing techniques

Required: Statistical sampling techniques, design of experiments and applications

Preferred: Ecommerce, digital marketing/ad-tech experience

Nice to have: Familiarity with source control and version management tools such as Git-Hub
