Description
The Lead Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Lead Product Owner works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Formulary Administration - Formulary Enterprise System - Lead Product Owner will have the unique opportunity to directly shape the next stage of our application journey as we continue migrating and creating Formulary Management functionality to our new tool, Formulary Enterprise (FEn).
Reporting to a Director, you will have the opportunity to work directly with business partners and peers to translate and mold user requirements to enhance experiences with guided flows and automation, producing better navigation and efficiencies to enable a first in class solution. The Lead Product Owner maximizes value of product created by Agile team. Liaises with stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline. Serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher with 8 years of experience working in healthcare, formulary, or drug management
2 years of experience with coordinating and leading projects and tasks
Strategic thinking and business planning capabilities; organized and detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Enthusiasm and motivation essential; a confident change-agent
Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
Experience soliciting and maturing requirements or user stories
Willingness to manage and prioritize diverse projects & reports
Understand business processes, systems, tools, regulations and structure
Previous product or project management experience
Proven success in leading teams (both direct and indirect) with multiple accountabilities
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, Computer Engineering or similar advanced/technical degree
SAFe framework certifications and implementation
Product Model support and owning product enhancements
Provider/healthcare network experience
Formulary or Healthcare experience
