We are seeking multiple Teachers to become an integral part of our team for Fall programs! In response to the demands parents are facing with educating their children virtually, we are offering a program called Bright Minds which delivers Learning Support at Home for small pods of children. The teacher will go into the home of one of the pods to facilitate learning and guide children through their school-provided virtual curriculum. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working with children, understands how they learn and is dedicated to creating a nurturing learning experience for every student. Deliver in-person instruction and provide support and guidance to students.
Maintain a supportive, fun and interactive experience for kids.
Understand/organize daily schedules for each child and ensure each child sticks to it.
Attend teacher meetings and training sessions as needed.
Partner with parents to ensure children benefit from our services.
Completed Associates degree or Pursuing Bachelor’s degree.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
S/he must possess strong computer skills.
Strong Math, Science and English skills (K-8) and technology savvy.
Great collaboration and teamwork skills.
A positive, engaging, empathetic and loving attitude.
Demonstrate reliability and punctuality by arriving on-time for scheduled shift and completing responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner.
Ability to speak and write Standard English appropriately in a school setting.
Also need some teachers that speak Spanish fluently, preferable a native speaker
Must provide proof of work eligibility, pass a criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening.
Must own computer with webcam and have reliable access to the internet.
Must have reliable transportation.
Child supervision is a key requirement; the Teacher must be able to implement activities, while maintaining program safety.
First Aid and CPR certification required (within 30 days of employment)
Possess reliable transportation.
Job Type: Part-time, 20 hours per week
To keep our workers safe, we have implemented mask wearing, sanitizers, and frequent disinfecting practices. Temperature checks and daily health checks before classes begin to quickly identify and isolate possible risks.
