The Federal Government Sales Specialist provides support for the development and implementation of the GSA Choice contract that includes the review of model year changes and vehicle specifications as related to GSA requirements, the entry of specifications and pricing in the AutoStandards and AutoBid systems, and the preparation of vehicle abstracts in the Federal Order Management System (FOMS).

Responsibilities

Provide support for the development and maintenance of law enforcement option packages and additional contract requirements as outlined by GSA.

Process federal government orders as well as facilitate the review and release of those orders in CONCEPS.

Manage the scheduling of all federal government orders on a timely basis to meet contract parameters.  This includes requesting allocation on a monthly basis, preparing monthly optimization and reserve reports and follow-up as appropriate.

Provide support for customer meetings and events as required (Advance Product Meetings, GSA Engineering Specification Review Meetings, federal government conferences, First Article Tests, etc.).

Process and track “field diverts” for mis-shipped or mis-delivered vehicles.

Achieve calendar year sales objective.

Achieve model year market share objective based on the federal government industry.

Maintain a stated customer satisfaction leadership rating with federal agencies.

Attend and participate in team meetings.

Provide support for the development of the annual federal government sales brochure.

Respond to both internal and external customer inquiries (phone and email) within 48 hours.

Help identify process improvements and best practices for the Federal Government Team.

Recommend IT enhancements for the Federal Order Management System.

Perform special projects and assignments as directed. 

Develop and maintain professional working relationships.

Education

BA/BS or equivalent experience required

Experience

7 years of Ford Federal Government product knowledge, including the ability to interpret order guides.

Solid knowledge of Ford’s order-to-delivery and purchase orders systems (CONCEPS, NAVIS, TSO2, MOBIUS, DRIN, CPARS, CCAP, etc.).

Periodic travel within North America is required.

Project management experience required

Experience with senior and executive level management communications and formal presentation delivery

Previous experience focused on:

Fleet Management Companies

Experience with project management and word processing software, spreadsheet and flowcharting applications (MS Project, MS Office, Excel and Visio) preferred

Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office including the development of spreadsheets in Excel.

Ability to multi-task including managing multiple inquiries and projects.
