Details

Must be a self-starter and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Our expectations include that you have the ability to quickly learn new tasks, think ahead, work independently, be detail and deadline oriented, and work well with others. A good sense of humor won’t hurt.

Required Skills & Experience

• VA law license is required;
• 5+ years of business law experience;
• Substantive experience working with business start-ups;
• Knowledge and ability to draft business contracts such as client services contracts, employee/independent contractor agreements, buy/sell agreements, etc.;
• General experience in civil litigation;
• Familiarity with trademarks & IP issues relating to small biz is a plus;
• Prior experience working at a law firm in a similar position is required; and
• Ability to supervise work performed by junior associates & paralegals.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Comfortable working remotely and familiar with the technologies involved in a virtual environment;
• Able to balance multiple client matters and understand the importance of deadlines;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Highly trustworthy and discreet; and
• Common sense and good judgment.
