The candidate will oversee the efforts of multiple client service teams on engagements for a variety of clients, including hedge funds, private equity, fund of funds, and venture capital. Directors plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; market, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage to budget. Will conduct secondary review of, and have ultimate responsibility for, complex tax returns related to alternative investments for both national and foreign entities. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, ensure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively. Directors are responsible for managing, developing, training, and mentoring Associates and Managers on tax projects, and assessing performance for engagement reviews.
