Senior Business Attorney

The candidate will review and negotiate complex client, vendor and partner contracts that meet the company’s requirements under its policies, including those for risk tolerance, while working collaboratively with the business team, including various executives. Partner with finance, sales, technology, security and other internal teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes. Provide legal advice to client-facing business leaders and service delivery teams and help advance strategic growth initiatives including helping to define and support new product offerings. Partner with other members of the Legal Department to drive optimization of our global contracting approach while maintaining compliance with legal and business requirements. Maintain knowledge and understanding of relevant industry trends and practices that may affect Alight and its clients. Undertake other assignments as determined by legal department leadership. Periodic travel may be required depending on assigned projects. Should have 10+ years of relevant experience at a law firm and in-house, including negotiating technology agreements. In-house commercial contracting experience dealing with SaaS, cloud computing or enterprise software licensing transactions and supporting a sales organization. Deep understanding of global data privacy laws. Excellent contract negotiation and influencing skills. Desire for close collaboration with sales and sales support to close deals efficiently, with a practical approach. Ability to effectively present and communicate information to successfully impact decision-making while prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Ability to provide good, proactive professional guidance and advice and sound business-focused solutions that combine excellent judgment, creativity, risk-taking, and technical expertise. Ability to identify opportunities and issues in the technology space and participate fully with the business on future company direction. Learning agility, including a, demonstrated willingness to develop expertise in new subject matter areas. Must have Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the bar.
