Audit Response Coordinator

The candidate will process audit letter requests, prepares responses, and handles follow-up inquiries in accordance with firm policies. Will resolve issues that the responsible lawyer, the client, or the auditor may raise with respect to the response and contact the firm’s General Counsel’s office as necessary. Maintains necessary files and database that includes documentation of the request, effective and due dates, acknowledgment to the responsible lawyer, communications regarding the requests and responses, and the final responses. Processes requests for supplemental information and or updates to responses. Coordinates with the designated London lawyer to complete requests from foreign companies and auditors. Provides ongoing assessment of the efficiency of the process and makes recommendations for improvements. Records time spent preparing responses in accordance with firm policy. Assesses, plans facilitates, and participates in all training programs and preparation of resource materials required for the preparation of audit responses. Ensures the availability of proper training materials. Reviews and revises audit response materials posted on the intranet and to be included in new Partner orientation. Follows the ethical requirements as set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct of the state in which employed. Utilizes appropriate technology and software when applicable. Other duties as assigned. Must have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of paralegal experience including the preparation of audit letters.
