Spring Internship
The intern will gain firsthand knowledge of the legislative process and daily activities of the federal government. The program allows students to develop friendships with other Congressional interns. Will be assigned as either a legislative or press intern. Legislative interns assist staff by researching current legislation and drafting constituent responses. Press interns assist staff by tracking current news and legislation, assisting with press events and drafting press releases. All interns perform other daily office duties including: sorting mail, making copies, giving tours of the Capitol, and answering telephones.
