ENSCO AEG (Aerospace Engineering Group) is recruiting senior engineering and support staff supporting the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, Research and Engineering Branch (OUSD/R&E).  We are currently seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Fully Networked Command, Control, & Comms) experienced in supporting technical, managerial, or operational fields.  Mature judgement required to interface with external stakeholders and senior government personnel. Position located in the Washington D.C./Virginia area. Immediate hirePosition Description:The SME for Fully Networked C3 (FNC3) will support the Principle Director (PD) participation in the Joint All-Domain Command & Control Cross Functional Team (JADC2 CFT) and the C3 Leadership Board Maintain modernization tech roadmaps related to space systems. Roadmaps shall  include all DoD activities and applicable program elementsModernization roadmaps shall be current and updated at the direction of the respective Principal Director (PD)Coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders, including DoD leaders, the Services/Agencies and other key partnersRefine and update S&T roadmaps based on feedback from stakeholders and changes to technology development investments.Assist in the development, maintenance and integration of modernization tech roadmaps to their PD.Roadmaps shall include all DoD activities and applicable program elements.Modernization roadmaps shall be current and updated at the direction of the PD or DDRE(M) Front Office.Coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders, including, but not limited to, OUSD(R&E) Enterprise, the Services/Agencies and other key partners as identified by DDRE(M).The SME will refine, and update S&T roadmaps based on feedback from stakeholders and changes to technology development investments. In additionThe SME will assist, as required, with the development of strategy documents, DoD Instructions, or other Department documents.Assist and prepare presentations and reports to DoD leadership, outside agencies, Congress, Industry, Academia, Professional Societies, and others as directed by your PDTrack department-wide budgets for efforts aligning with their respective PDPrepare and conduct meetings related to your Principal Director's focus area (FNC3)Travel within the DC Metro Area to the Pentagon, Mark Center or Suffolk BuildingLocation in DC Metro AreaAN ACTIVE DOD TS/SCI CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. (DoD TS with SCI eligibility within the last 12 months)Qualifications Required (Skills)­­­Master of Arts or Master of Science Degree with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience. Degree must be in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline. 14 years’ relevant experience and at least 7 years’ of recent experience in military communications systems engineering, protected RF BLOS communications, high data rate laser communications, and other relevant technologies.Background in layers 3 through 7 (networking through application) of the OSI 7 layer model https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSI_model .
