A law firm seeks a talented Labor and Employment Associate to join its team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will work closely with senior partners to assist clients in navigating complex labor and employment matters, providing strategic legal counsel and developing innovative solutions.

Duties

• Support senior attorney in labor and employment litigation cases.
• Assist in developing strategies to resolve employment-related disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research on labor and employment laws.
• Advise clients on employment contracts, workplace policies, and compliance.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Negotiate and draft employment and separation agreements.
• Cultivate strong client relationships and provide strategic advice.
• Collaborate with clients to develop proactive employment solutions.
• Stay informed about labor and employment law developments.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience managing cases and drafting legal documents.
• Experience representing employers in litigation matters.
• CA Bar admission is required.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
• Knowledge of iManage, ProLaw, or related software is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals.
• Must pass a background check.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills

• Proficient in legal research and e-filing systems.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assignments independently.
• Effective communication and confidentiality maintenance.
