Public Disclosure Manager
The candidate will be providing high level expertise, management and support to the Port's Legal Department in the area of public disclosure. Will act as a key advisor and technical expert to Port divisions and departments on the public disclosure process. Coordinate and provide oversight, consultation and direction to divisions and department liaisons in providing access to records consistent with legal requirements, including disclosure exemptions. Coordinate and communicate procedural and/or legislative updates to division and department liaisons to ensure consistency in responses to public disclosure requests. Manage large public disclosure response efforts and provide guidance to the Public Disclosure Specialist, for whom this position will lead, on all other public disclosure responses. Partner with the Senior Port Counsel assigned to public disclosure and the Deputy General Counsel, General Counsel and Public Affairs staff, as needed, in developing information and communications related to the public disclosure process. Lead efforts in developing and implementing improvements to the structure of the Port's public disclosure program and provide training and education to division managers and department liaisons on public records requirements. Analyze program metrics and develop annual reports on public disclosure responses using analysis to develop program performance improvement.
