Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks a candidate with two to four years of experience to join our Boston office.
The ideal candidate should have substantive experience handling matters arising under major federal and New England environmental regulatory programs. Specific experience with Massachusetts regulatory frameworks, land use permitting in New England, and renewable energy development is a plus. A candidate with a strong interest in the position who may not currently have significant background in these areas should be committed to becoming well-versed in these areas. Candidates also will be expected to support the firm’s national environmental regulatory and litigation practices. Candidates should describe their experience in these areas.
All candidates should have a strong academic background, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and the desire to become a leader in matters involving challenging legal and environmental issues.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
Status as an active member of the Massachusetts bar, or status as an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one state or the District of Columbia, and the ability to become admitted to the Massachusetts bar.
Experience with, or demonstrated interest in major federal environmental statutes and comparable laws and regulations in one or more New England states.
Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to work well under deadlines, and ability to assume significant client responsibilities.
Creative and critical thinking skills.

In accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which this position may be filled, the base salary range for this position is $190,000 - $220,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation for this position may also include a discretionary annual bonus and an hours-based bonus.
